The US military is in Iran's sphere. No matter what the Trump regime says, the US is the instigator and the aggressor. There'd be no military engagement but for the US's presence. The same would hold if the Iranian military was operating in the Gulf of Mexico or off the Eastern Seaboard.

More premeditated killing outside of armed conflict. There's a word for that. 2nd boat bombing in two days. The Trump administration is keen to share the snuff films from these strikes, but is strangely unwilling to identify these "Designated Terrorist Organizations" or release the OLC opinion.

Bourgeois media rule: In coverage of non-submissive Global South countries, say “regime” and/or “repressive” at least once per minute, but never frame the question of democracy in terms of the anti-colonial struggle or the constant state of siege (sanctions, assassinations, etc.) imposed by the US.
