Me watching all the Graham Platner stories from now until November.

I have posted extensively about the evidence he is lying about the tattoo. And the tattoo is just one sign of really strange extreme beliefs from this guy. He has no political career so his record of bad behavior is far stronger and more concrete than his policy credentials.

I think it's great for younger and more progressive people to primary the establishment. I don't think they need David Hogg to do it and he's arguably stealing their donations while amplifying tension in the broader party at a dangerous time.

There are many, many political staffers making around 120k or more. They work hard and deserve it. I called out David Hogg for some pretty specific reasons that I extensively detailed. Who does he benefit besides his own profile?

You're right. The DNC absolutely couldn't have identified prominent figures with expertise in each area of the Cabinet and had them make regular press statements. This would have been against the law. That must be why they abandoned the project. Thanks for explaining government to me.

The sitting president is pretty famously party leader when the party has a sitting president. I, in fact, wrote a book detailing some of the calls Biden made behind the scenes to shape the party at this time. They were a mixed bag.

10k a month is a pretty normal salary for a political consultant doing serious work for a campaign or organization. David Hogg is self promoting David Hogg and paying himself for it.

The DNC literally announced a planned shadow cabinet and I am not sure they did anything with that at all. There are real serious issues here.

I think the lack of clear leadership in the Dem party is a huge issue. Hakeem Jeffries, Schumer, and Ken Martin have all been in positions to assert themselves. None are ... particularly assertive.

It's a really long list. I am not in agreement with anyone on here simply blaming this on liberals or the left. Tons of people are to blame for Platner.

I have had people tell me the Platner issue doesn't reflect on Dems generally. That's an absurd thing to say about a key Senate race that involves many major figures. I've also had people try and blame this on a faction they don't like. I don't buy it! Lots of blame to go around here.

I am not sure I have seen any compelling reason for David Hogg to be an influential figure in the Democratic Party or any clear benefit that has come from this for anything other than his wallet.

I do not begrudge anyone enjoyment of their chosen treats but there is a very specific type of Internet Person who makes IPAs, luxury condos, and anti-car policy a huge part of their personality.

Maybe yes, maybe no. They have so many picks (including the Knicks'). The new rules deincentivize tanking but may make some of their more mid picks more valuable than expected.
