This is the second time I’ve had a battle royale dream (I don’t play battle royale games) in the same looking massive warehouse and for some reason Obama was around and said he believed in me. I won the round then I woke up. Huh?

I played a lot of games in 2025 and I’ll probably have to slow down in 2026 but in my heart of hearts I love nothing more than a good story that reminds me of my humanity despite reality. Here are the games I played this year:

Platinum #40 goes to Final Fantasy I! Had to make it an even number to round out the year so I finally finished that bestiary. Such a simple story but it did provide the backdrop for Stranger of Paradise! Happy New Year!

Platinum #39 goes to 13 Sentinels: Aegis Rim. This is an incredible sci-fi story that is so expertly told non-linearly that I can’t imagine what that Excel spreadsheet looked like during development. I don’t even know where to start to gush about the story or the art direction. 11/10 #PS5Share
