I told a friend this week that it's all so hateful. the Texas Republicans hate us, all of us. some of us more than others, but they hate us. why do you hate me? I'm just trying my best to be a good person and do good things. there is a heaviness you feel living here, operating under this hatred.

The TX House has passed its godforsaken bathroom bill. In the eight years since the 2017 bathroom bill was defeated in Texas, I can’t think of one report of a trans person doing wrong in a restroom. But in that time at least 14 trans people were murdered. Families have fled. No one is safer today.

People are in motion everywhere and no one action is "the silver bullet." That means that there are many many things to join and that you don't know what will make THE difference. No one thing will. That's actually OK.

I really understand the frustration in the land. A lot of people want direction and that's not coming from the people who some usually look to for guidance. To me though, this offers an opportunity for everyone to get creative about the types of anti-fascist action(s) you want to take & to do them.

I think Texas House Dems made some missteps, and two Dems in the Texas Senate didn't do shit. but all in all, Texas Dems and the public put up a fight on redistricting. what I'm waiting for is the breaking point, the rock bottom, that gets through to more Texans. when will the escalation matter?
