So, since Santos has now been pardoned (or whatever the correct term is) by Trump, are we SURE he's really an American cititizen and NOT an illegal alien? At one time he SAID he was born in Brazil and his Mom is Brazilian and he has lied about so many things... DHS needs to verify or deport him.

Got up early to finish my protest signs and have a leisurely cup of coffee before heading to rally. If you happen to be Bastrop TX, come up and introduce yourself. I'll be wearing one of these signs. Hubby will be in the other. (They're cardboard sandwich board signs that leave our hands free.)

To use at YOUR "No Kings" rally if you like... Have fun, stay safe, remain peaceful no matter what provocation you may face. Remember that any violence at these rallies plays into Trump's hands. HE wants violence, don't give it to him.

It doesn't make any sense to conceive of due process as a right that individual people can have or not have at all tbh. Bad framing from the start. Due process is a restriction on the government's actions, and by definition it applies to either everyone or no one.

I guess I shouldn't be *surprised* but it is making my head spin that the feds have shot two people, with live rounds, killing one of them, in Chicagoland in recent weeks, and in both cases they were very clearly found to be lying about what happened, and essentially nothing is happening about it.
