We've had a battle with my son's school for the last 18 months. They've become more strict, with teaching staff shouting (he describes them as screaming) at the kids and the inconsistency and lack of logic in the rules and punishment has tipped him over the edge. But they've doubled down. 1/2

Just had a realisation. As an undiagnosed autistic person, I learned to copy what other people did because I didn't really know what was acceptable or what was normal. A few times I got in trouble for doing things I'd seen others do and as someone who always tried to get things right, that hurt.
