An extended family member of mine died by suicide last week at the age of 75. We were the level of closeness to hug and recognize each other at family events but didn’t really communicate otherwise, so I’m ok, but very sad for the rest of my family.

Packing for air travel with a toddler is an olympic sport.

Since we didn't have cell phones when I went to high school, we weren't expected to check in with our parents. But I promise I was exactly where I was supposed to be.

I've talked about this at length, but the best vacation hack is to do a grocery order for your destination. Pick it up on the way to your hotel or just have it delivered. Get some water, drinks, snacks, whatever you might need. Saves a ton of time and money.

Outfitting children is such a chore. It's not particularly expensive when they're little like this, I've outfitted her for about $150-$200 each season, but the constant organizing and donating or selling and restocking is an entire job. And I try to be as minimal as possible. But still!
