Probably not a super meaningful stat, but England scored fewer points against Canada than Canada scored against any other team in the competition.

One of my beside-the-point takeaways from the women's Rugby World Cup is that Canadian sports facilities kind of suck. I don't think we have the need for something the size of Twickenham. Not now anyway, that's for sure.

So I'm little bummed about the timing of the Canada Post strike. I have a couple of magazine subs for my kids that expired around the time of the last strike, and I missed the renewal as a result. Due to an ongoing family health crisis, I didn't have time to call and renew until June.

In a statement, Vaughan Mayor Steven Del Duca pivoted from speed cameras to violent crime, suggesting we should spend more time focussing on the latter. That’s illuminating. Vehicles obviously present the bigger statistical threat, especially to children. But we accept those injuries and deaths.

There is absolutely no good faith reason to use the term “AI” for any technology one is selling. It serves only for dazzling people into thinking the technology has capabilities that it doesn’t. If one wants a technology to be trustworthy, just use a transparent, informative term without hype.

FWIW I strongly believe a federal postal services should be the default medium for all government communications, people can opt-out, but they should not be compelled or enticed into it. Communication is too important to rely on foreign owned tech ologopolies.

Plenty of people who get home mail delivery live in neighbourhoods that are not unlike a typical suburban neighbourhood with community mailboxes. In most cases it would not be any harder for the former than the latter. Can't really see the argument for keeping home delivery in those cases.

Right, let’s subject all drivers to speed bumps and traffic calmers as speeders are upset. So everyone must drive over speed bumps (snow plows as well) as opposed to everyone driving the speed limit and those who don’t are ticketed. Collective punishment, is unfair, unjust and ineffective!
