Situation in our neighborhood has been resolved with no one hurt. I have been monitoring from afar and was able to advise several neighbours about the shelter-in-place because they did not see the notice on social media. Now we know the situation at least.

There is a shelter-in-place order in our neighbourhood and the OPP have the area cordoned off. I'm grateful that we are away and also worried for our neighbours. Sheesh!!!

The red flag was up at the beach today & people complied with the lifeguard's orders to stay out of the ocean. They could have objected in an entitled, colonial, classist way. I've been giving 12YO life challenges because, from what I have observed, kids these days are lacking basic skills. So I send him to the store for a few groceries, the post office to mail packages, the library to get books for me. He makes his own appointments on the phone for the doctor/dentist.
