We've had our new heat pump for 2mths now. It just hasn't been working properly yet. The crew is here again, trying to get it to do its job. Looking forward to saving eventually! We were at a field trip today where one of the adults in the audience fell asleep and was snoring loudly enough that students from several rows away were distracted by it. I decided to drop my umbrella loudly nearby and he awoke with a start — before promptly settling back in for a further nap. 😴😳😆

We experienced an excellent field trip today — WWI education program at Ruthven Park National Historic Site. I taught about WWI for a decade or so, but I still learned a lot of new things today from Andy Robertshaw. Fantastic! #PandemicHomeschool

I love this! One thing the pandemic brought into our lives was weekly forest school for our child and he has reaped the benefits of outdoor education in so many different ways.

It's been 1 year since I was hospitalized with idiopathic acute pancreatitis. I almost died from sepsis & it took months for me to recover. I am so grateful for my intense young physician who took me on shortly after I was released from the hospital. She was so very thorough with follow-up. 1/5

The library did a profile on board members & I shared that my favourite book in the world is A Prayer For Owen Meany. Now I am hearing from people in town who also love the book. Instant best friends! Tonight we introduced kiddo to Simon Birch (film adaptation) & what it means to be a hero. So good.

Spent an hour on Eglinton today (why, Google, why?!?!). It was silly slow, but I did enjoy seeing so many families out enjoying the sunshine on a Sunday afternoon. I have travelled all over the world, and I am quite certain that Toronto is the most diverse city in the world.
