Baby Steps is my GOTY this year. And it was a GREAT year for games. Blue Prince was also up there, as was Silksong. But Baby Steps is the funniest thing I’ve ever played. Maybe ever experienced. AND it has a wonderful, poignant story. AND there’s a queer love story about self-acceptance. Incredible.

Every pro-AI person responds to legitimate questions and criticisms the same: “this is happening regardless of how you feel.” Which is a real doozy of a response because it’s a: not answering the question, and b: a threat.

It’s so weird to see Pluribus takes like “The Others are lying!” Or “Carol was acting!” Like… that’s actually way less interesting than the stakes defined by the show. It showed its hand immidiately and is fully exploring that. Collective peace or individual chaos. It doesn’t need a twist.
