A real treat if you live in Cambridge and have access to a form of water transport is paddling up to the Backs to watch the May Ball fireworks. St John's fireworks this evening were the best I've seen - I have never seen fireworks with coloured smoke before!

This week, nan's house enters a new era with a new family. Much of the last 48 hours has been spent grieving for my grandad all over again as I gathered the last of my things from my childhood home. I hope the new family are as happy in that home as I was. ❤️

I run a writing retreat for neurodivergent students. Today, after years of teaching in here, they have FINALLY fixed the lighting controls so that the lights are dimmable! This is fantastic accessibility! My joy is tempered by the discovery that my comrades are not fellow bright light autistics

About 10 years ago, my grandad gave me his beloved B&O record player, but when we took it out it didn't work. We have tried on and off to find someone who can fix it ever since. Today a lovely man from our local repair cafe brought it home in working order. I am so delighted ❤️
