The worst part about coming out of a 5-year-relationship is the end of the journey. When I got on that bus, I was 30 lbs. lighter, more active, and was perfectly content with being single. Once the ride ended, I was heavier, jaded, and angry. Baby, if I were a sign, it’d have been:

It’s been a year since my break up and I’m truly not sad anymore. I learned to face a lot of harsh truths when it came to my insecurities and the ephemeral nature of love. I also learned that heartbreak led to a lot of of emotional dependency and fear. I overcame that and I am ready to level up.

I think I’m gonna create a new page. I’m not scared to start over. The new page will have more of my writing, my fitness journey, and a fresh start to finding my tribe. I need my nerds. I need my spiritual peers. I need my bookworms and my gworls.
