I want us to free ourselves from wanting others to recall their trauma + dark experiences just to feed our own desires for tabloid fodder and entertainment.

I blame Twitter and Podcast. The use of both of those tools acted as a “battle of the sexes” echo chamber that has subconsciously (and in some cases consciously) convinced Black men that Black women aren’t worthy of protection or empathy.
