Austyn and Marie were outside jump roping a few days ago and a neighbor came up randomly saying their wife’s sister had a dog who needed a new home. So now I have a new dog friend =) His name is Barkley (his pre existing name but he’s 4 so it seems rude to change it). 💙

I hope you have lots of fun and don’t have to run today. Though that might complicate things if you find running fun. I think the fun is more important so if that’s the case you can run but only if and when you want to and not due to the whim of others.

I didn’t weekend well enough this weekend so I’m going to try and inject an hour or so of weekend each day until next weekend in hopes of catching up. I hope all of your weekend levels were sufficient.

We got one of the moving water cat water things (74 oz size). It’s been a few days. One of the cats enjoys it. One of the cats would rather beg for toilet water. The other cat is drinking it a tiny bit here and there. The one that enjoys it especially enjoys running his paws under the faucet part.

So hard at work. Need to get her some fabric scissors and a few pattern books soon. She’s going to use her brothers abandoned school project tri fold poster board and turn it into a runway. Wondering how I can I make her little lights.

Do any of you know about sleep and more specifically, dreaming (not dream interpretation but the science of sleep states and when we dream)? I am curious how long it is supposed to take to begin dreaming (not how long it takes to fall asleep).

I hate to say it but I’d rather they blame Tylenol than learn the truth about how we multiply. I don’t like the idea of what happens if they realize it’s us having sex. I don’t think their “solutions” for that would be good.

My queue of activities today has taken a turn. Clothes washing machine is giving me error messages that I’m not familiar with (to be fair I’m only familiar with the suds error). If one of you enjoy hunting for fun planets in no man’s sky, please do a little of that for me.

Woke up to find Marie already awake and hard at work making little dresses. Wish I could bottle the feeling it gives me to see her so engaged with her interests. It’s a good feeling even if I can’t name it.

Marie’s fashion designer (for Barbie size) has come and these are some of her first mock ups. She’s still working on them. It’s important to her that you know they aren’t done.

They threw a nut at me. I don’t know if it’s a war nut or a sharing nut but I said thank you.

Have ordered a Barbie sized dress making kit for Marie. Hoping her monster high and lady bug people fit right - seems like they should. They’re just about Barbie size.

Did you all know there SEVEN different types of dresses with their own sub types at that?! Hoping this video will tell me if there is a dominant type or a dominant type through the ages. Fashion is fascinating.

My favorite special interest is learning everything I can about the things the people I love love. That way I can be as supportive as possible, with a direct relationship between my effort to learn and my love for them.

Marie just told me she thinks she wants to study fashion so now I’m looking for any fashion related shows, movies, books, and magazines I can find. Unrelated. There’s not as many magazines as there used to be. Any recommendations?

Didn’t get to see a dog on my walk today but during bus stop time with Marie we got to see a small family of deer. I liked that.

I didn’t realize it until now but I think I’d like a Hellraiser / Clerks crossover.

In the long long ago I used to live in an apartment complex and my up above neighbor was a Jamaican man named “Gus” and my days would start with him shouting down the stairs “BLUE! I NEED TO SEE YOU!” and then we would have a lovely time. He was uniquely accepting of me. I miss him and his accent.

Just a couple of minutes until my walk alarm goes off. I hope I get to see a lot of dogs. I didn’t get to see any yesterday.

Is “time heals all wounds” just an expression? I mean I understand it doesn’t reference physical wounds but is it saying that all emotional wounds are supposed to get better as time goes by literally? (I don’t think time heals all wounds. It hasn’t mine but maybe I need more time?)

Do any of you use a fountain/moving type water bowl for your animal friends? Have been thinking of switching to one but am a little concerned about ease of refilling and cleaning let alone if the cats use it.

Ordered Marie’s Zooey costume now the order link (when I check orders) is broken but when I check tracking it says it did get shipped. Worried we might have to find another demon hunter costume. Contemplating ordering another one from a different seller (assuming she finds a Zoey she likes). Blergh

Marie was a witch with her poison apple (for her enemies) for yesterday’s school picture day. The other children just went as children. Hoping one day she gets a class with at least a few others that want to be characters instead.
