After yesterday's Threshold Run, Garmin told me to rest, so I walked to the gym and did a lovely session. I got two pbs too: bench press and dumbbell row. Next week the main exercise will be squats. Excellent. #garmin #eatallthecrumpets

Three days off, only doing the lightest exercise, and my training status peaked. Go me! I did a threshold run tonight and it was really hard. I don't like running at 5:35/km at the best of times but keeping that pace going up the pathetic hills round the back of Stanley Park is horrible.

Today's run - a long run. 1 hour 25 minutes @ 6:50 pace. There were lots of friendly dogs to pet (always a bonus) and I did another Zombies, Run mission. It was a lovely start to the day.

I did a nice 3k jeffed run from Em's Fitness Hub this morning, followed by a coffee and a chat. This afternoon I went for a 9.6k hike with my husband Greg. He complained a bit when it was boggy underfoot but we mostly enjoyed it. Nice day for it too.

It seems a good anaerobic gym session wasn't enough for me yesterday and I did a Garmin sprint session after work. I also did a Zombies, Run mission while I was doing, failing to save a settlement from being poisoned with the zombie virus. You can't be perfect, even if you are Runner 5. 1/2

Intervals yesterday. Ten two minute intervals with 90 second rest. I did the first nine at an easy pace keeping two newbies company at the back, then went all out for the tenth.

Back with my friends from BFR yesterday for the perimeter run round Stanley Park. I jeffed two laps 60:30 with my friend Stephen, who's been struggling with injury. He says his foot held up well, so it's all good. I love running with him. It's always a good, chatty run and I can be myself.
