My stance is that there is no such thing as "pre-concept", it's just different stages of polished concept art. My concepts looks like this, then I go straight to 3D. The "concept art" that ends up in the art book that people are familiar with is usually made or polished after the game is finished.

Gameplay of Moba UFO, a 3D racing i-mode game that's now playable thanks to Yuvi's Mobage server revival! It tries (and fails) to save ghost data after a race. This and other online functionality will be revived later. It's amazing to see how far we've come with preserving server-based i-mode games.
