Man, the warm reception ppl are having to QBJ3 rules. It's such a weight off of the shoulders that it's finally out, and watching people experiencing all of the stupid little touches we put in has been such a rejuvinating factor after the weeks long crunching in the final stretch before release.

If you haven't checked this out, I can absolutely recommend it. Even though it's a jam game, they've basically made their own game *on top of* Quake, with all new weapons, monsters, sounds, a new texture set, and a WHOLE LOTTA MAPS. Definitely check it out!

What is it with modern FPSes and refusing to give the player any sort of inertia? They put all this effort into making everything in the game smooth and seamless and then the player just stops fuckin dead the second you release your finger from the key and it feels AWFUL.

ok i think i'm done with this CS 1.6 FAMAS retexture i was working on, i could keep messing with it still but i'm wayyy past diminishing returns already. just need to recompile the .mdl to fix shading issues (and maybe make a HD version with a smoothed model/UV fixes) and then release.

Just so I'm clear on this, computer memory has tripled in price because a bunch of it that hasn't been produced yet has been ordered to populate GPUs that aren't installed in data centers that aren't built yet in order to service a demand that doesn't exist to make profits that don't happen.
