A lot of the early Silent Hill F reviews sound like they kind of just want Silent Hill 2, again. I'm glad it looks like they're really changing it up this time.

Silent Hill f has become my surprise of the year. It forges a new identity for the series; takes that uneasy atmosphere and makes it a little more gruesome; has a very compelling narrative that goes to some very interesting places and deals with some heavy themes. GOTY contender.

It’s strange to see people try to defend The Medium’s story because the backlash led to Bloober realizing they had to do better as a studio. Consultants they hired for SH2 were outspoken critics of The Medium. That’s how criticism is supposed to work and the studio and players are better off for it

On some level we sympathize with The Medium’s defensive theory crafters because yes, it’s difficult to believe a well-publicized game about trauma would end like THAT. But we played it at launch. We saw it for ourselves, before people talked about the ending. And it really was that reprehensible.

how can i choose just one?? 'spider dance' was stuck in my head for 24 hours 'nyeh heh heh!' turning into 'bonetrousle' was so memorable 'ghost fight', 'dummy!' and 'another medium' are just bangers hearing 'heartache' in 'asgore' gives me goosebumps and 'undertale' emotionally compromises me

it's weird actually knowing why people love this game now. being on the outside for so long i'd assumed so much and figured there was no way it'd live up to the hype. but somehow it was even better? there's a genuine heart to this game i was not expecting
