That’s the shift between Allen v. Milligan (2023) and Louisiana v. Callais (2025). Acknowledging race to undo racism now counts as racism. In conservatives' world, taking race into account to make things fair is somehow worse than centuries of using race to keep things unequal.

Why is the Court revisiting an issue it decided 2 years ago regarding Alabama's racist maps in Allen v. Milligan? The 6 jamokes on the Court have decided the real question isn’t whether Black voters are being disenfranchised; it’s whether fixing that disenfranchisement might hurt white feelings.
