Today's Random Game Saturday is a famous one-- Hayazashi Nidan Morita Shougi 2! Why is it so famous? The ST018 chip that runs the shogi logic is actually a full ARM CPU with its own 21MHz oscillator, far more powerful than the S-CPU itself I'm not good enough at Shogi to tell if it helps, though

Today's #RandomGameSaturday is Shadow Hearts: From the New World and its Prima official game guide. Probably the wackiest game in the series, this one moves the action to America and has Native Americans, a talking cat drunken master, a vampire idol, a mariachi, and more as party members.

#randomgamesaturday 3D dot game heroes. Fantastic Zelda clone. Link shoots sword beams at full health, this hero’s sword gets larger then clouds buster sword on Viagra. Fun game. The loading screens are recreations of classic 8 and 16 bit game boxes too.

For this #RandomGameSaturday, I present to you an LCD game. Money & Bomb (Casio CG-20) is a handheld device that runs on solar power. I don't know if mine just needs some new components or if it was always like this, but it needs a direct solar flare from Krillin himself in order to stay on. (1/2)

I think I haven't picked from the 360 shelf yet for #RandomGameSaturday, so here is Resonance of Fate! Also known as End of Eternity in other regions. Tri-Ace RPG with very cinematic battles. I thought this game had a steep learning curve, but it was a blast once you got it.

Transformers Devastation is a comfort game for me. Developed by Platinum Games and published by Activision this is the Transformers game I always wanted. G1 look, G1 voices, and that signature Platinum gameplay. God damn do I love this game. #RandomGameSaturday

#RandomGameSaturday Cave Noire (JP Game Boy) from Konami Cave Noire is pretty crazy. It’s an addictive rogue-like dungeon crawler with a bunch of different missions. This is a must play on GB. It’s a shame that it had no worldwide release, but can be easily played even without knowing Japanese.

Today's rather late #RandomGameSaturday is Taito's Don Doko Don for the PC Engine! This single-screen platformer occupies the same genre as Bubble Bobble and Parasol Stars, and has similar mechanics to the latter, where you can hit enemies to stun them and then throw them at other enemies.

It's #RandomGameSaturday and I randomly pulled Front Mission 3 off the shelf. I haven't tried it yet, but I've heard it's good.

It's come around quick but time for another #RandomGameSaturday! This week it's a Saturn game close to my heart; Steamgear Mash. An isometric action game where you play as a cute lil' robot. I found this game in my early years in Japan and fell in love. It felt like a game only I had ever heard of.

We ❤️ Katamari! The sequel to the incredibly, strange and addictive Katamari Damacy allows you to roll even bigger balls. Guaranteed to get the song stuck in your head after playing a while. #RandomGameSaturday

I'm back from Japan and let me tell you, I had to brave walls of illegible titles at Book Off to provide a genuinely random title for #RandomGameSaturday. Zeus: Carnage Heart Second is the first sequel in a line of strategy RPG mech games, made by our friends at Artdink. All but EXA are Japan only.

It's #ScanlineSunday and you know what that means. It means that before I left, I put a copy of Secret of Mana into SNES and took some pics of the #CRT. I've never played this game before. I managed to luck into a copy pretty cheap and this was the first time testing it out. Battery still works!

I don't know what time it is back home but I think it's still #RandomGameSaturday right?? This is truly random. I don't know what this is. Seven: Molmorth no Kiheitai is an RPG...? Tactics...? Definitely from Namco lol. The art style looks really nice and it was only 220Y. Can't go wrong with that.

It's Monday where I am in Tokyo but it's still #ScanlineSunday back home. Before I left, I took some pics on the #CRT so let's celebrate with the most Japanese of things... Baseball. Spring training got me in the mood. Super Bases Loaded is one of my favorite baseball games especially of the era.

I'm traveling across the world so let's get #RandomGameSaturday out quick. I got Snoopy & The Great Mystery Club from the library. Support your local libraries, everyone!! The game itself is very lackluster. Not broken in any way, but definitely aimed at young children. But it's cute though

Todays #RandomGameSaturday is Namco's Time Crisis. One of my absolute favorite arcade experiences, sadly the lack of a foot pedal lessens the home console version. However, the game still rips and is among the best in light gun games. Unfortunately, I don't know where my GunCon is.

Star Ocean: Till the End of Time is today’s #randomgamesaturday. The third installment in Tri-Ace’s ARPG franchise, it’s considered either just as great as Second Story or one of the worst. If I’m being honest, it’s a fun romp and still one of my favorite PS2 RPGs.

The #ScanlineSunday combo. Put Kirby Super Star on the 8000 pound Trinitron #CRT and.... Well, my original save battery died for this. I took one pic on Milky Way Wishes, the game froze, and when I rebooted it, there were no saves left. I should buy a bunch of those easy swap battery holders.

#RandomGameSaturday and today is Valentine's so let's talk about a nice co-op game. Kirby's Super Star is fantastic. A collection of a bunch of games that range from single button samurai duels, to interplanetary space adventures. It's designed to be played co-op, for that Waddle Dee in your life.

There's not enough love for Sega Saturn these days or ever haha so that's what I got for this #RandomGameSaturday There are 5 games in the Majin Tensei series, another SMT spin-off. Ronde is the third one, released in 1997 and I love the cover art. Character designs were done by Kazuaki Yanagisawa.

Fighting Vipers is one of those games I used to see in magazines, dreaming of my own Saturn. Fun fighting game with a cool cast! #RandomGameSaturday

It's the day before the Superbowl, I've saved the best football themed #RandomGameSaturday until last: it's John Madden Football for the Amiga. I've owned many of the sequels on many different systems but this was my first. It was a new benchmark in terms of combining simulation and presentation.

It's #RandomGameSaturday and I think most people know the original Soulcalibur game was called Soul Blade (or Soul Edge in places). Released fairly early in the PS1 lifecycle but it's still a solid game that I think holds up better than some other early PS1 fight games... 👀 Also, Sophitia is here ❤️
