Lufia 2: Rise of the Sinistrals for #RandomGameSaturday Developed by Neverland and Published by Natsume in the US. This acts as a prequel to the original Lufia. Blending dungeon gameplay similar to the Zelda games and turn-based combat. The soundtrack is stellar. This is a truly lovely game.

Castlevania gets its name from being a Metroidvania set in a castle.

I've enjoyed dungeon crawlers from the outside; neat adventures that can go very bad very quickly. However I've never been able to really sink my teeth into one. I'm hoping that Vampire Crawlers does enough to open my eyes a bit. It's simple, quick, fun and devoid of too many words.

Wave Race 64! I never owned a 64 in my youth, but I was able to play this wonderful little game. Never could quite get the hang of the tricks. The water physics in this game were stunning at the time, and honestly the game holds up quite well. #RandomGameSaturday

IDK who needs to hear this but the "you have to adjust for inflation" bit isn't the zinger you think it is. Because you'd also have to adjust for inflation in shelter, utilities, medical, insurance, f%&(ing food - and then you'd realize purchasing power has fallen as wage growth hasn't kept up.

Red Dead Redemption for #RandomGameSaturday. Developed and published by Rockstar for the PS360 consoles (PC to come much later). You are John Marston on a quest for vengeance. It's clunky - like most Rockstar games from this era - but it's a world full of wonder. Still holds up, imo.

I noticed that I've recently only written reviews on Backloggd for games that I really dislike. I've written a few for games I really liked, and a few that weren't more than just a "this game fucks" but the bad games? I put a little thought into those. Perhaps I should flex that muscle more.

It's Forgotten Worlds for #RandomGameSaturday Published and reprogrammed by SEGA (originally Capcom) for the Genesis/Mega Drive. I have a fond memory of spending a weekend hanging with an older cousin and renting this game. We managed to finish it in an evening and had a blast while doing so.

Wow! I've not played a nothing burger game in a long time, and while it was some decent junk food it ended on the most unsatisfying cliffhanger imaginable. Nothing was concluded, nothing was gained. I don't regret my time with MindsEye but it was such a miss. Solid 4/10, will never play again

Slay the Spire 2 is more of what made 1 so good but slightly improved. The progression system being expanded to include lore is a nice touch and its visual aesthetic remains intact, if not a bit more refined. Excited to see it's evolution on the road to 1.0

Today's #RandomGameSaturday is a doozy. Metal Gear Solid 4! The primary reason I own a PS3. Developed by Kojima Productions and published by Konami. I'm not the biggest MGS fan, I'm bad at stealth, but I love this game. I can't wait to replay it later this year.

I really love the Xenoblade games but boy howdy do they have the ugliest screen's imaginable. There is so much information on screen at all times that from a third person perspective it looks like absolute gibberish. Sorry for low quality, it's from an old video and the game just eats the bitrate

Legend of Zelda Wind Waker HD for #RandomGameSaturday The only version I've personally played but it has some QoL enhancements from what I've heard. Particularly in regards to the Tri-Force treasure hunt. It's still the most boring part of the game, but what a stylistic treat this experience is.
