I made this just now.

My external HDD that I swap between two computers has a weird issue. If I copy files to it from one of the computers, sometimes I don't see the new files when used on the other computer, until I scan and repair the drive. No problem going the other way. Anyone else encounter this?

Still celebrating VGMaps.com's 50,000 maps! From the data seen in the last two days, we can see the average filesize per map per platform! The largest maps on average are on the PSP, mostly due to G.E.R.'s Sonic Rivals and catacombs's Ultimate Ghosts 'N Goblins maps.

Still celebrating VGMaps.com's 50,000 maps! Today, we see how much each platform's filesize contributes to the 47,600,318,154 bytes (44.3 GB) of VGMaps. Despite the NES having the most maps (17.3% of them as seen in yesterday's chart), it only takes up 1.8% of space!

Another St. Patrick's Day post. Though the NES/Genesis/SNES versions of TMNT: Tournament Fighters are very different, one thing they do have in common is that on the select screen, unselected characters are greyed out. I edited these to see how the select screens look like if everyone's highlighted.

Did you notice that on the box art for The Flintstones and The Jetsons games for Nintendo platforms, Fred Flintstone is always smiling, but George Jetson never is? Also, either Fred or Barney is pointing at something, while George's hands are always occupied.

If you want a better track record of movies based on video games, don't stick to Hollywood. Professor Layton And The Eternal Diva is actually in the games' continuity (I guess). Ace Attorney retells the first game faithfully (IIRC). Dragon Quest: Your Story has a cool twist.

Donkey Kong Country's sequel is "Diddy's Kong-Quest" (as in "conquest"), not "Diddy Kong's Quest". The Volume 74 issue of Nintendo Power (July 1995) shows a title screenshot from an early version that says "Diddy Kong's Quest", but the text on the side and the description clarify what it should be.

NES games with a reference guide on the label, which you can only really check while playing if using a top-loading NES, and not the original front-loading NES. Though, Palamedes and Shingen The Ruler were both released in 1990, long before the top-loading NES.

Scooby-Doo! is NOT cool. I'd tolerate it if Hanna-Barbera (or Warner Bros., whoever) didn't keep milking it CONSTANTLY while ignoring the stable of other classic characters that they have. Taito's Hanna-Barbera NES games are actually good; kinda glad Scooby-Doo!'s not on the NES.

If you don't like Super NES-era RPGs... what's wrong with you? LOL, I kid. But also, maybe not. Finishing all of these on rentals are among my greatest achievements when I was a teen. Though I had to rent Secret Of Mana twice, and somehow my save file was still there the second time, weeks later!
