Here's something nice for #randomgamesaturday: my copy of Burai Fighter for Famicom which I just bought yesterday. A friend's NES-version was maybe the first shooting game I ever played back around 1990 or so. I later got the excellent Game Boy port and now I finally have the original!

I picked from the PS2 shelf this week and got Yakuza 2! #RandomGameSaturday Apparently I was the only pre-order at my local Microplay store when this came out.

This week I have Die Hard Trilogy It’s got some jank, including how the memory functions out of whack (like how Die Harder gives you points for Innocents Saved in the OPPOSITE of what it’s supposed to). But it’s still a cool, if difficult blend of 3 different game genres #RandomGameSaturday

Let’s go back further in time for this #RandomGameSaturday: 🕹️ Game & Watch Donkey Kong (DK-52), Nintendo, G&W, 1982 A fascinating adaptation of the arcade game to the G&W line. It was the second title in the Multi Screen series, and it introduced the d-pad to the world. Thank you, Gunpei Yokoi.

#randomgamesaturday is me just grabbing the game that was in my 3ds. Smash bros for 3ds. This was right until ultimate came out. I think this game single handed ruined all the 3ds circle pads out there.

This #RandomGameSaturday is Powerpuff Girls: Bad Mojo Jojo on GBC. Overall a pretty standard if slightly awkward side-scroller, but it's fun to fly around and kick bad guys in the shins to death. The backgrounds do a great job with the show's retro mid-century look.

#randomgamesaturday I will never stfu about Marvel Land. I love this little game and finally got my own copy. Obsessed with world 2 music and will never stop telling ppl. Enemies are so bizarre and have so many random animations. It just oozes charm. (I typed that realise; and left it as is)

For #randomgamesaturday I am sharing Sim City for SNES. It was my introduction to the series and genre and needless to say i could spend hours playing this particular version. Also, kind of has a bopping soundtrack.

On this #randomgamesaturday, we have that one time that Capcom's artists decided to make a PS2 era 3D model of Jean Reno. I haven't played this one yet, but I absolutely loved Genma Onimusha on Xbox and quite liked 2 on PS2 as well, so one of these days!

Pulled off my copy of “GG Aleste II” for Game Gear as today’s #RandomGameSaturday pick. As you’d expect from Compile in their prime, it utterly pushes the Game Gear hard, and is a tightly put together portable shmup.

Today's #RandomGameSaturday gives us one of my personal favourite Zelda games - Link's Awakening. This is probably my joint favourite alongside Majora's Mask. I think it's no coincidence that both of my favourites are slightly surreal and dreamlike.

This #RandomGameSaturday an unconventional vampire game. Vampires who camouflage among the cultures of Akihabara. But how do you defeat vampires? Garlic, silver, holy water? No, these vampires are weak in sunlight, so you have to fight them to take their clothes (which you can steal and wear).

I'll get my #RandomGameSaturday entry in: Half-Minute Hero for PSP! When all you've got is 30 seconds to save the world, you've gotta give it your all. Fun, tropey and gently poking fun at RPG conventions and mechanics. Plus, it mixes in several different genres on top of that in other modes.
