#RandomGameSaturday Viva Piñata on Xbox 360 Rare’s first 360 game that did not start development on the GCN. The game trusts you with creating a garden that is safe for your Piñatas, while attracting new visitors. There’s bad guys afoot, so watch out for them! Pretty fun. I was never good at it!

#RandomGameSaturday Rodea The Sky Soldier (on Wii U… and Wii?!) Notably produced by Yuji Naka, this game was kind of made twice. The Wii version was finished in 2011, and the Wii U version in 2015. They were both sold in the same box, as seen here. You can reverse the cover to have the Wii box!

#RandomGameSaturday Fortune Street (Wii) What if Square-Enix mixed Monopoly, Dragon Quest, and Mario together? You get Fortune Street, an underrated party game that has you purchasing stocks and bidding for real estate. Shockingly, this game supported online play way before Mario Party ever did.

#RandomGameSaturday Road Trip Adventure (PS2) An open world racing game! Drive across various cities collecting new parts to upgrade your chibi car. Race! Do fetch quests! Laugh at the bizarre dialogue! At one point an NPC warns of “invisible bears.” All of the game’s writing is like this.

We beat Lifeline without using save states, if you can believe it.

Double Fine's Keeper is absolutely gorgeous! The game reminds me of a supercharged XBLA title, and I mean that in the most pleasant way possible!

#RandomGameSaturday Lifeline on PS2 A microphone-controlled action game by SCE (published by Konami). It is just as bizarre as it sounds. The year is 2029. Play as an operator helping the main character survive aliens on a space hotel. You literally have to tell her when to shoot at foes.

Everybody should try out Night Trap at least once.

#RandomGameSaturday Pikmin 2 on Wii A very unusual US re-release of the GameCube game on Wii. This launched as a $20 Nintendo Selects title shortly after the announcement of Pikmin 3 on Wii U! Nobody was buying Wii software at this point. Everyone had moved on to next-gen systems. So it bombed.

While helping our grandparents move today, we found the original N64 and copy of Banjo-Kazooie that I played in the 90’s! I would get my own system and copy shortly later. This game was very important in shaping me into the game player that I am today. 🙂

#RandomGameSaturday ExciteBots on Wii The sequel to ExciteTruck, this time featuring… robot animals! This time you’ll be racing while performing various activities, such as throwing darts! Or fishing! Or poker! Or catching butterflies! And a bunch more! It’s a fantastic lesser known Wii racer.

This animation would be fire if I didn’t just watch it ten times in a row during the battle.
