Minneapolis shooting: Videos contradict government statements
Videos quickly emerged showing the fatal shooting of a Minneapolis protester by a Border Patrol agent that has been widely denounced as a case of excessive force carried out by untrained federal officers. The administration says it was a case of an armed man provoking violence.

Why does
@govnb.bsky.social
use these four colors in all of their social media posts and videos? Where did they come from, and why? They arent the colors on the flag, they arent the colors in our logo, who picked them for this rebranding and when? People need to know!

It never ceases to amaze me how many people dont know very basic things about how the world works. Whenever you talk to someone for the first time - keep in mind that there are 50/50 odds they wander through life clueless.

Unless you work for the federal government, where a DBPP cant go underwater because the government wont ever go bankrupt, pensions generally are worse for the employees than a matching RRSP contribution. DCPPs in particular are a big PITA for the employee. More employers should talk about this.

Do Canadian MPs actually connect with the public on X? I looked at RTs and views for every tweet* sent by Liberal MPs yesterday Out of 46 tweets, 21 Liberal MPs racked up a combined 475 retweets 34% had zero RTs. Only 17% got more than 10 RTs 3 tweets accounted for over half of all engagement

Canada has 41.5 million people, and its governing party is posting messages on a platform that are on average viewed by only a few hundred people What do Canadian MPs actually gain from using X? What would Canadian MPs stand to lose by leaving X?

They are. EV sales growth overall was in Europe around +25%. So to tank your sales by 25% is quite an achivement in this enviroment. Tesla should sold 352k cars in EU/ETFA/UK (11 months of 2025) but they sold only 203K cars. That means that Tesla actually underperforms around 43%.

Interesting data (from Waymo) showing that robotaxis are significantly safer than the average human driver. This is likely because they respect traffic rules. An NYT op-ed by a neurosurgeon calls for a broader adoption as a public health measure. Thoughts?

If youre a doctor or dentist or simmilar professional in 2025 and don't allow your patients to manage their own appointments online, lets be frank - you're straight up flushing money down the toilet. These systems are cheap - even free - to deploy. Get with the times.

Politics is not team sports. Good policy is good policy regardless of the source. Please for the love of all holy, teach your children this. The goal of politics is not supposed to be to "beat the other team no matter what", its supposed to be to improve quality of life for you and your neighbors.

Interesting facts about the louvre heist: "The robbery took between six to seven minutes and was carried out by four people who were unarmed but who threatened the guards with angle grinders, the Paris prosecutor has said." So much for the"only criminals will have guns" arguments on gun control
