There’s this dude I follow on Letterboxd who rarely gives a movie less than 4 stars. That’s a positivity I admire. But also I don’t think he’s very discerning either. The swath of quality is suspect at best.

Paul Newman and Robert Redford were two of my dad’s favorite actors, and they became mine as well. Redford was an artist first, a champion of the independent at a critical time, and never apologetic about his politics. Loved him in everything I saw him in. RIP one of the best to ever do it.

Got high and watched half of that 90s Erotic Thriller doc. Fucking great. Cable TV and VHS were wild. So many interchangeable titles and titties. Also glad the doc gave appropriate reverence to Brian De Palma before diving into the Adrian Lyne and Paul Verhoeven of it all. A+ already
