IMO, the majority of pro-AI arguments made by academics are about the economics of working in a neoliberal university. The constant call is to do more with less--less time, less funding, less peace of mind. AI promises to "solve" these problems, but I'd argue it'll actually intrench them further.

It is so hard to remain human in a world this inhumane.

I will never get used to the disdain our country holds for brown and Black children. From Palestine to Iran to Sudan, we normalize the destruction of schools and hospitals and daycares. We reduce children to death tolls and their futures to rubble with no consequence or second thought.
