I've heard lots of good jokes about trans people...generally from and by trans people. The key thing is those jokes are based in actual knowledge about the trans experience and foibles of daily life as opposed to mean-spirited, ignorant and boring attempts to join a moral panic.

my confession is I never finished x files cuz I got bored by the overarching plot. I love monster of the week. if you have a connecting season finale with a few threads in the other episodes thats OK but you lose my attention after too many episodes on the same topic unless that's like....

Yesterday I was really overworked and sleep deprived and I couldn’t settle down because my brain kept jump scaring me by inventing shadow people that’d pop up in my peripherals and “run” as soon as I’d notice them.

I really want commercial artists to all be paid enough to do weird little side projects and make a bunch of pointless OCs or whatever without feeling like they have to always be hustling

outside of the main cast, one of my favorite characters is the girl yuki meets at one of those clubs or something near the end of the series. her obsession with "perfection" & absolute control/a rejection of it and depression was something I was fixated on & related to, but didn't understand how

I'm really glad I liked fruits basket bc the part that still is good to me is the theme that death and grief and misery are just part of life but you should keep trying and keep trying to be happy despite it, keep trying to make connections with other people, even when you know you could lose them.

the way one of the only manga series we had in full was fruits basket bc my mom liked it so it was treasure for me (and before now where half of a bookstore is manga, you had one aisle & most of it was shonen) & I reread that series SO many fucking times. possibly the most of anything....
