Excitement of the day-the sun is out. Mr A is repairing the holes on the borreen to our gate and I’ve put laundry out. Rock n roll all the way here.

Yes! We solved the ‘murder’. Great fun and fairly realistic in terms of the evidence pack. Might get another one next year as there’s a series of them

Mr A invited our friends for dinner tonight and forgot to tell me until this morning. 😡 Hindu family with a small child. Vegetarian Wellington made with butter pastry should be ok? Luckily I have roasted squash, chickpeas and spinach in the freezer and homemade flaky pastry. Just a pud to create

Good day today. Got out this morning and had hail and strong gusts to contend with. Quick shower and spruce up, then went to lunch with a friend. Long walk after lunch around The Warren, then home to move furniture out of sunroom ready for window fitting day 5 tmw.

Another day of disruption with the window guys here. They arrive at 07:30 and leave at 17:00. We are up at 06:30 and Im getting tired and grumpy. Cant fault them, hard workers, respectful and they clean up. Next week they start downstairs.

Today’s ear worm is Minnie Riperton ‘LovingYou’. The worm may have migrated to my mouth and popped out whilst I was driving. This process continued once back home as I unloaded the shopping. Mr A was not amused.

Window guys have just left. Mr A has just gone out- peace and quiet at last. Bliss

Cajun style dirty rice for lunch. InstaPot is a go-go Added green lentils and 3 coloured quinoa to the brown rice.

New windows and doors starting today. Im really not going to cope with this. Strangers all over the house, noise, mess etc. I may be setting up camp in a coffee shop.

Butter bean hummus is better than I thought it would be. Definitely making it again
