if your a captain doing tryouts right now, I would recommend asking tryout questions like "what would you have done differently that last game" and see how their thought process plays out, its an amazing weed out strategy (doesn't have to be in a dedicated vod review, either) #compsplatoon

some footnotes - - we had 7 people apply * of those, all but 1 showed up on time and was responsive to pings - we had a tough time picking between the last 2, it really came down to if the team liked hedit or pen better - vod review was extremely good at weeding people out for incompatible goals

If you want to find vods for any weapon in the game you can go to the weapon's wiki page, copy the jp name of the weapon, then go to youtube and paste it next to the number 3000 and you will definitely find gameplay of it from someone who is better than you. Doesn't work on twitch #CompSplatoon

I love competitive splatoon, and I think most people who follow the #compsplatoon tag do too. And this wouldn’t be a *competitive* community without the TOs and orgs providing competitions. Can we use this as a wakeup call to start being a community who supports the people who hold it together? 1/?

Even tho I know it was the right thing for them to do, it does make me sad that splat safety operated so far behind the scenes that so many people didn’t know how important they were. Idk how many ppl even saw that they officially disbanded, but we’re all gonna feel the community get less safe.

After much thought and talking it over with my family, I’ve decided to unban myself from Low Ink so that I can follow my dream of becoming the first person to ever win Low Ink twice. I know many of you will call this “corrupt” and “abuse of power” and you are probably right, but like, come on.
