TBH I really don't like "no one is illegal on stolen land" as a slogan. It mixes up a bunch of distinct issues and thus overcomplicates an already good positionâno one is illegalâwhile simultaneously reifying blood and soil nationalism on land that isn't "stolen."

Israel/US is rampaging into the weekend. They've hit Iran's steel factories, its universities. They killed 26 civilians in just 1 strike on the city of Esfahan. This war is illegal. This makes everything happening in this war effectively illegal, creating double illegality in many cases like these

oof. 66-70 for europe, 36-40 or 41-45 for hollywood, or 91-96 (for nostalgia) all seem utterly necessary. but european cinema is my first true cinephilic love, so 66-70.

We can't solve housing without more housing. That people might want to live in walkable places with corner shops is intuitive unless you've spent 50 very nervous years driving, wondering why everything stays far away and your social world is shrinking. We can't escape housing shortages without homes

I have the stomach to say one more thing: as meaningful as what students saw in response to their protests (repression) is what they didn't (US shifting away from support for genocide). describing this as *their* failure as opposed to the supposed adults in the room is a joke and not the funny kind
