Yesterday's vet visit was a bit of a washout. They decided he was too feisty to be trimmed even after they'd stuffed him full of sedatives. I bought him home, he ate and went to bed. Then he was calm enough for me to de-mat him, result! Now he's sleeping off another night of rodent bothering!

Today's listening is "Electric Junk: a journey through Deutsche Rock , Psych and Kosmiche 1970 to 1978". Just so many echoes of Julian Cope and early Roxy Music for starters!

Barney has his annual visits to the vets today to have a few mats in his trouser area trimmed. As he doesn't take kindly to this, he has to be sedated so has been nil by mouth overnight. Barney is experiencing true hunger and has spent the night bouncing on my chest telling me so. So tired!

I want to set up a maker space with a great cafe on the side. It would cover everything from basic sewing through to plumbing and carpentry with a side order of hobby electronics. Somewhere like a repair cafe but where you take part and learn rather than watch.

We are about 80% in on The Pitt. It's excellent, well acted , full of characters you care about. The writing is spot on, direction is peerless and the visual effects are amazing if sometimes too much to watch. Hats off to everybody involved.
