The time has come for a change of wheels on my Prairie. The Topy/Dunlops are lovely, but diamond cut wheels and British weather don't play well. So I went for something that's just fully painted. Fresh from Japan... Advan Rally ARB. Sticking with 13" rims too as little wheels are best wheels.

Six years ago today I finished this coloured pencil drawing. As it was a commission I wanted to make sure I got the clear visor right. I drew eight or so versions and practiced getting the tone right. It gave me the confidence to try coloured pencil portraits for real! #art
