I’ve now read the first couple issues of Imperial, and this is a pretty strong Marvel cosmic story so far. It’s moving at a really fast clip too. There’s a real cinematic feel to it.

I’m a simple man: I see Charmander on a product, even if it’s a can of soup, I’m probably bringing it home.

Over the years, I was occasionally asked to take reviews I really didn’t want. But I cannot think of a time where I went in openly hostile to the genre or series I was reviewing. I’m empathetic to those who have to crank out a review by embargo, but if no one on the team wanted it, skip that game.

I’ve said it several times now, but Metroid Prime 4 was the game that blew me away the most at the big Switch 2 media event back in April. And every time I see more from this game, I get more excited. Samus has been a favorite of mine since getting Super Metroid as a kid on SNES.

Donkey Kong Bananza selling almost four million copies is fantastic. On top of being the best Switch 2 game at the moment, it’s the game DK fans have wanted for decades. Really hope this leads to DK getting regular 3D and 2D games like Mario (as Nintendo has suggested we could see).

I was surprised at the $450 base price for Nintendo Switch 2; I assumed it would hit at $399. But I was shocked at those that acted like $450 was a betrayal or somehow unreasonable. I also think it reflected the growing disconnect between the internet outrage circle and how people actually feel.

Started playing Pikmin Bloom following the announcement of the free Pikmin 4 DLC. It’s cute so far, but since I’m new to it, I’m not sure if there’s more to the game than collecting Pikmin and outfits. It feels like a much more limited version of Pokémon Go at the moment.

Between the Sabres beating the Capitals and denying Ovechkin his 900th goal yesterday and the Bills beating the Chiefs today, I am on a massive Buffalo sports high right now.

Bills were absolutely the better team all day and deserved that win. But Chiefs always give us heartache.
