The most impressive thing about Switch 2 is how smoothly the system is handling major third-party games. Of the games I’ve played, Star Wars Outlaws and Pragmata both run really well, with the only caveat being that hair always seems to look a little odd, and I don’t know why that is.

Call me a plebeian, but Fantasia has never, ever done anything for me. I can appreciate the artistry on display, but I have always found it dreadfully boring.

Besides the point MTSW is making, but VHS and audio cassette nostalgia is a little weirder to me, only because we have physical formats that are far superior. DVDs/Blu-Rays and CDs were a lot less fragile, and offered way more space and convenience. I grew up with VHS, but have no nostalgia for it.

If you’re a Star Wars fan, I highly recommend this game. Some segments can get a little repetitive, but the gameplay is fun overall, and the art direction is stunning. The writers also did an awesome job weaving a story within canon, and building on elements from the comics and original trilogy.

Damn, I wish we had a Costco. Already have Pokémon, Metroid and Kirby, but I’d totally snag Mario Tennis for $30.

Only about 45 minutes into Pragmata, but it’s a good start. It’s unmistakably a Capcom game, and you can feel the DNA of Resident Evil. There’s some real sci-fi horror vibes. More importantly, it feels like a throwback to the days of PS1, when publishers were taking big swings on new properties.

The premise is flawed — streaming isn’t convenient anymore. When it came out, it was. But the act of putting a DVD or CD in a player is way more convenient than wading through multiple services to find what you’re looking for, finding out it’s not included in your tier, and dealing with commercials.

Started reading Daredevil: Dark Nights on Marvel Unlimited. It’s an anthology from like 10 years or so ago that I never heard of. The first three issues are a Lee Weeks story where Matt has to help deliver an organ to a little girl in a blizzard, and it is fantastic. Just a classic style DD story.

There was an artistry to gaming magazines that we absolutely did not appreciate at the time. You’d see stuff like this and kinda scoff, but if you’re in the industry right now, you see this and think “there was some dude getting paid decent money to draw Mace Windu and Yoda playing PS2.”

I have decided that this is the all-time worst Sabres jersey. I respect the effort to marry the goathead with the classic colors, but what a downgrade from the OG white, black, and red.

I rave a lot about the OG Star Fox, but Star Fox 64 was so awesome as a kid, because the voice acting really enhanced the scale and spectacle. Between Wolf and Bill, Jock Blaney gave life to two of the game’s most memorable side characters. Thanks for the memories, sir.
