You know while I like toonhive’s sense of humor, this is one of those times where I don’t think it works. I don’t fully understand the flack Awkwafina gets. I understand people don’t like stunt casting and I’m in that boat too but personally I think the hate she gets is very overblown.

I’ve LOVED every film Pixar has made this decade. Under Pete Docter’s leadership, we’ve seen a ton of exciting new voices tell their personal stories by taking experimental swings. Whether it’s an original or a sequel, a Pixar film will always be an event.

I hope to god they make plushies of Tom Lizard. Disney/Pixar are missing out on free money if they don't.

I'm glad you said it. Elemental may have been the last film released by Pixar that Lasseter greenlit, but you can feel that every film they've made this decade feels different than before. I've really been loving these new films from Pixar under Pete and I can't wait to see more.

I just want to take a moment to say how much I really dig every film being greenlit by Pete Docter over at Pixar. They've been personal and imaginative with very compelling stories and themes. What they're doing in Emeryville is appealing so much to my tastes.

I will say it again but I think that the 2020s have been a renaissance for Pixar and I will die on that hill

One thing I will say though is I do miss when Pixar played shorts before their movies in the theater.

They used prosthetics on a guy to look like Donald Pleasance in the flashbacks to Halloween Kills and prosthetics on Paul Bettany as a human underneath the Vision makeup. And they all looked real and not creepy. No fucking AI. Twit.
