95% of MN Somalis are US citizens. 58% were born in the US. The only reason to target this community with immigration agents is for the sake of racial profiling and harassment - which the US supreme court says is legal now.

no finger-pointing, no infighting. we lost the mayorship but there were lots of bright spots last night. we keep fighting for the change we want in this city and we will get it. get involved and be the change you want to see. that's what i'm trying to hold onto today.

Last municipal/mayoral election people on the left spent months tearing each other down & apart for their voting, volunteering, running, & donation choices. It created lasting rifts in our movement & keeps us all down. I will not be participating in this at all.

It's easy to overwhelm the insipid cruel NextDoor freaks at caucuses if you bring your neighbors- talk to people! They don't! Even with all the money in the world they accidentally turned out enough people who disliked their candidates that they lost the Mayoral endorsement & had to call the manager

Tell the Charter Commission how you feel about that, either in writing, or in-person at their meeting on Dec. 3 at 4 PM. The legislative branch has an important role in confirming department heads, just like in the federal or state government.
