art tips I regularly tell myself: - if the colour's not working, try whittling it down to 2 or 3 general hues - if the composition's not working, try doing a new rough - if the final drawing's not working, try coming back tomorrow. Fresh eyes can catch the problem, or reveal there is no problem

i read @haridraws.bsky.social's I Shall Never Fall In Love today and it completely succeeds at what it sets out to do, essentially being a queer jane austen for modern audiences. by the time i'd finished i was really impressed at how much story and development they managed to fit in there
