Democrats are bad at simple *consistent* framing the rationale for the shutdown. Republicans say "negotiate later." Agree: reinstate the healthcare subsidies for regular Americans *temporarily* in the *continuing* resolution, that the BBB cut *permanently.* *Then* negotiate for the permanent budget.

It's simple. The BBB continued tax cuts for the rich & corporations *permanent* and *cut* health insurance subsidies for the rest. Democrats' bottom line is, *reinstate* health insurance and Medicaid subsidies in the temporary *continuing* resolution *then* negotiate in a permanent budget later. ⚖️🇺🇲🗳️

Payment for stabilizing emergency medical conditions in the emergency department is required by a federal law signed by Reagan, the Emergency Medical Treatment and Active Labor Act. That payment is not Medicaid funding. It is wholly separate from what Leavitt is babbling about, not in CR or OBBB.
