The angled warping & shifting perspective of the building shapes are quite reminiscent of some of the style associated w/ German Expressionism of the 1920s & 30s. These are original set design illustrations for the classic 1920 silent film, "The Cabinet of Dr. Caligari".

The brilliant 'Show of hands' allowed us to use their song 'Cousin Jack' for a northeast mining film a few years back. 'Cousin Jack' refers to the blanket name for Cornish miners who moved from tin to coal mines around the country. Fab song! youtu.be/FKNIUwxtvHw?...
