Morning all. Filthy weather. #StormDarragh

I never normally show work in progress, but this is one of three paintings I've got on the go. The plan was to add another layer to subdue the image but there's something about the naïve, childlike, simplistic colours that appeals. I'll ponder further. 'A Really Nice Day'.

A painting from way back. Featuring my effort at a painting by my namesake George Stubbs (1724-1806). Sorry George. Also featuring Escalado. My grandad had a set from the 1950's that I used to play with as a kid. Little me thought it was magical. 'And Now Your Race is Run'.

A somewhat strange and very large piece from yonks ago. Now residing in the room where paintings go to die. 'Miss Fortune'.

Another painting from a few years back. Always look after the one's you love. 'In Sickness and in Health'.

A painting I did a few years back called 'Heart Strings'. It features my attempt at a painting by Modigliani that reminds me of my late-wife (sorry Amedeo). It also features some totally bonkers wallpaper. Probably why it hasn't sold. Plus the fact it's very large and quite expensive.

Me, this morning, trying to decide what music to play so I can start painting. 'Just the Dripping of the Tap' (sold). Two cups of tea later a decision has been made. Let's do it. I'm painting. A Place To Bury Strangers on.
