The Interim Principal clearly said on STV News there would be no redundancies. Now he is trying to make hundreds of us redundant. Was that misleading people? Was it lying? Total ineptitude? Whatever it is, staff and students have no trust in this ‘leadership’.

Our members have voted to support industrial action to fight against job cuts passed today! In the ballot our 72% of members were in favour of strike action, and 90% in favour of action short of strike. Turnout was 58%. Thank you to all members, reps and officials for helping us get the vote out.

Amazing that when a distressed university's financial situation is subject to parliamentary hearings and an independent investigation, the senior leaders and governors resign and redundancies are called off. We need this level of scrutiny for every university in England.

The School of Science and Engineering houses our Maths dept. and the Dean is a mathematician. So we used a hyper geometric distribution calculator (hope that’s the correct model) to predict the chance of this gender targeting occurring by chance. It’s a 1 in 9090 chance.

The University of Dundee is currently trying to make 100% of female research Professors in the School of Science and Engineering redundant. 100% OF FEMALE RESEARCH PROFESSORS! Only one female professor (teaching and scholarship) from that School will remain working on our UK campuses.

I will be presenting at University of Dundee in around a month's time at the EPS x CSBBCS meeting about topics relevant to EDI in STEM and the news below has reminded me how relevant this is...
