Oh, it was the break to skip replacing the tiles. Took it out and replaced it with if tile == VOID

RIGHT. When the entrance and exit is spawned it also sets the tiles below it to be ground, then the gen code will ignore tiles that have already been set. That way I can keep my cave shapes as they are. Had to set it to water so I could tell if it was working X'D

Ah. the issue with walls over the Teleporter is caused by void tile being replace by a wall. So I need to figure out why there is sometime a void till there. I can also move the Teleporter to be created first and set it's tiles to be ground.

hmm, still getting walls being spawned on top of the Teleporter. Gonna leave it for a bit, it's probably something dumb like the collision box for it is too small (it's not a collide-able object since you can walk over it)

Caves are being displayed 1 cell too wide and 1 too high, but also there are tiles being added in that extra cell...do I spend ages tracking down why it's doing that or do I just fix the width and height >:D

Ok fixed! I moved the light surface to the draw_end event so it is the last thing drawn. I'm not 100% on how the objects depth is taken into account. As I understand it it goes: draw_begin draw draw_end for draw it draws things in depth order then code order, so I guess it does that for each draw?

I don't get it, the draw order is correct but for some reason the parts of walls I draw on top of everything except the shadows are actually on top of the shadow layer? You can see that the front part of walls and all objects are drawn correctly :/ #gameMaker #gameDev

On the one hand this is a huge bug, the stairs should always be accessible. On the other it's kinda cool to have to excavate the exit stairs. On yet another hand if you don't have or loose your hammer (or bombs) you're screwed. #gameDev #indieGames #gameMaker
