I was just talking about this @amaniras.bsky.social last week. By calling her a prophet implies that her work just appears by the powers that be, instead of her writing & research being a craft and skill that she shaped and molded with her intellect and creativity. It devalues her important writing.

I feel like I’m limping over the finish line this semester. First Fall semester at a new institution, in a new city, got COVID for the first time, roach infestation that took two treatments to kick (*knocks on wood), and then I was rear-ended last Saturday. Boston is kinda kicking my butt, tbh.

I wrote out pet sitting guides for my pets. My dog’s guide is 7 pages with tables for her medications. My cat’s is barely a page and a half.
