as I read this, it's jumping out at me that Dred Scott v. Sandford sought to exclude even free Black Americans from citizenship, so when Trump n em wrongly claim that the 14th Amendment was only for the babies of enslaved people, they're saying the 14th Amendment didn't actually overturn Dred Scott
