"too hard" is an interesting phrase because it implies there is an inherent quantum of "challenge" that is required for a game - not too much or too little.

i've always been pretty skeptical of Souls games purported difficulty because if the reaction to Silksong has shown anything, something going mainstream largely precludes it being too hard because the median gamer simply isn't very good at games and doesn't actually like hard games that much.
