But there, in the grass, only a metre away & also watching alongside Mme, Happy Dog & Dog's Young Lad was an orange cat - apparently unnoticed by the dog, not too pleased at being spotted by Mme.

In the park, Mme ponders life & weather warnings grimly. A happy dog approaches in greeting, halts & stares at some bushes intently. Mme: ? Dog's Young Lad: Squirrel or rat by 'ere (then, excitedly) Squirrel! There's 2! Mme & he watch them together DYL: This stuff makes your day, don't it? It did.
