If you need a little hope this morning - the current tween trend involves decorating clothespins with affirming messages, then clipping them on friends' backpacks when they're not looking. Here are a few that my 11-year-old decorated this weekend ❤️

The best time for media, government and employers to actually understand social media and how it can be gamed by bad-faith actors and false outrage was a decade ago. The next best time is right now. Unbelievable how stupidly some of them are responding to blatant hateful opportunism right now.

It takes only a few minutes & and you can choose other. I used to work in the federal government. These consultations are important and submissions do get read. Plus the opposition and journalists can request to see the results, so even if the government ignores the public will, it'll still get out.

Even accepting the premise that AI produces useful writing (which no one should), using AI in education is like using a forklift at the gym. The weights do not actually need to be moved from place to place. That is not the work. The work is what happens within you.
