My kids are younger than Jen's so it's still "family iPad" and not "every kid's phone," but I have COMPLAINTS about how parental controls work across every tech we use in our house... except PlayStation. They're doing pretty okay. "Parenting" should not be a weird edge case.

A blanket ban is not the way to go. Instead, we need regulations for these companies that create better, safe experiences for users. Regulate tech, not kids. For those in Canada, check out @smgrimes.bsky.social great work on this. Links below.
