This whole incident is revealing a real crisis of trust in the FBI, it's hard to imagine how the FBI restores any credibility in the Trump administration, but that's what happens when you turn the entire government and related institutions into forums for loyalty tests and persecution.

This research has helped fit another piece in my mind on the puzzle that is chronic absenteeism. Specifically this part: having easy access to make up work is not the same as having easy make up work. Confusing the two can lead a lot more parents into thinking there’s less value in being in school.

Truly the pace of journal reviews in the last 2-3 months far exceeds anything I've experienced 'til now. I'm at something like 10 in the last 60 days.

Support for parents opting their children out of content in the curriculum is, we show here, much weaker than folks probably think and is likely susceptible to persuasive messaging about its downsides and logistical challenges.

Just a little note to folks in the academy that institutions absolutely will not protect you and colleagues will absolutely not defend you if you become politically inconvenient for them. I don't care how robust you think your protections are, they're not worth the paper they're written on.
