Law schools are not tech training schools. And today's students are pretty tech-savvy already. Any training to specific products seems destined to be obsolete by graduation, and if focus on AI competence rather than critical thinking, any short-term advantage dies as the tech changes. /ps2

My hot take: Just give me the prompts you used and I promise I’ll have more fun talking to AI about it than reading your paper

A good rule of thumb is to start with the citations. If they don't exist, bingo. If they do, how are they deployed in the paper? AI is ok at "next word" configuring but bad at selecting meaningful source material and using it sensibly.

My thoughts: 1. I have no issue with this method per se. This works if the author verifies all authorities & lines of analysis. 2. To be able to use an LLM in this way, a lawyer needs to have & use deep expertise. 3. If the ideas came from the LLM & not the lawyer, they aren’t interesting to me.
